Soft skills are slowly gaining importance in the competitive workplace environment.  Being able to present successfully, interact with people effectively and motivate team members or employees are valuable skills that can set you apart from your peers.

New Horizons Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany has added instructor-led training in a traditional classroom environment for the one-day classes listed below.

Instructor-led training provides you with an interactive and engaging classroom experience blending lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, valuable student and peer interaction and online resources to use during and after class. Instructor-led training allows you to focus and learn the material, without the distractions that may arise during e-learning courses.

The ability to deliver presentations is vital to achieving advancement for yourself and for your ideas. Few skills in life will contribute to your success as much as presentation skills. Without a dynamic and coherent presentation, even stellar ideas can fail to convince your audience. In this course, you will learn to organize your ideas to create coherent and convincing oral presentations, while also utilizing available visual aids and using public-speaking techniques to strengthen your delivery.

In this course, students will assess their current emotional intelligence capabilities, determine strengths, and identify areas for improvement. They will examine how emotions affect behavior and how those behaviors impact relationships with others.
